I have purchased a very expensive photo printer that duplicates photos faithfully.  It is fast and helps to keep the costs down as well.  It even puts a coating on the surface that helps to protect it.

• Photos can be enlarged or reduced in size
  
• Photos can be enhanced (see "Photo Enhancement")
  
• Color photos can be made in Sepia (old time brown and white)
  
• Color photos can be duplicated in black and white
  
• Red Eye can be removed
  
• Damage to the medium can be reduced or totally removed
  
• Photos can be combined with others
  
• Different photo papers can be used (gloss, satin, matt, etc)
  

  Most of us are not professional photographers and find that our lighting is not perfect.  Pictures are sometimes too dark because of a light source behind the object in the picture.  Or the photo can bee too light .
  Photo enhancing can correct these problems.  The below  example is the picture of window draperies  that are way too dark because of the light coming in the window.  The enhancement has not only make the lighting look more normal, but has also figured out the colors in the draperies and brought them out. Look at how dark the valance  (top draperies) are in the original photo and how the enhancing was able to put the exact colors into them once they are lightened.
